DRL kits - That always stay on

Are there DRL kits that can be bought that allows the DRL lights to be on when the headlights are off and still remain on when the headlights are turned on? If there isn't a kit is there a way it can be done DYI style?

I don't see why not. Give me some time, I have been wanting to map my DRL Control Module.

I don't see why not, the problem is that the Headlight circuit is at its max already. Anything that adds to or takes from the circuit has the possibility of blowing the Headlight fuses, repeatedly. A module connected at Connection #309 under the dash is probably the simplest way of getting the job done, this is how the Mitsuba DRL RZ-0126 is connected.

Do you have this done? Mind giving me a detail description of how this could be done. I am planning on getting some DRL kits soon. I think they have some at autozone? or something?

I haven't installed mine yet, but I will duplicate the Canadian setup. I was waiting for two things: 1. map the bread board and post the circuit diagram online, 2. buy canadian instrument cluster for Accord and pull out DRL Malfunction Indicator Light cover.

Since you asked, I am doing #1 now. Right now I am waiting for parts from Majectic for my PS system, so I have some automotive time on my hands.

Any DRL kit should work fine, it will not be able to trigger an error light like the Matsuba unit.

I thought you wanted to make your own DRL unit; which is what I want to figure out myself.

I think what you want is this thread.

Canadian models come with DRLs stock. Maybe the wiring is under the dash on all models. It's a grey box with a blue plug above the gas pedal.

I plan on adding the DRL unit to my car soon, I will be duplicating the Canadian setup. Some of the wiring can be added, such as re-pinning connection #s 252, 309, 210, 609, 923, and 448; but other things have to be added, such as adding Fuses 23 & 10, the DRL Control Unit ground wire, and posts to mount the DRL Indicator Light on the Printed Circuit Board inside the Gauge Assembly.

Which setup? The setup that uses an aftermarket unit like 'JDM-SiR', if so, he already wrote a thread for that and I posted the link above. My setup that uses a Mitsuba Running Light Relay RZ-0126, if so, it is going to be a while. See, I need a Canadian Gauge Cluster so I can examine the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) inside the Gauge Cluster. I have examined three* US Gauge Cluster PCBs and found them to be too different in design to really point me in the right direction as to what I need to do to my US Gauge Cluster.

* 1994 Honda Accord Auto Gauge Cluster PCB, 1999 Acura CL Auto Gauge Cluster PCB, and of course mine the 1997 Honda Accord Auto Gauge Cluster PCB.

What I am looking for is a Canadian (Auto, not 5-spd) Gauge Cluster with the DRL symbol in the top left. I will pay $50 + shipping if someone can find a used unit for me.
