i just inherited a bose speaker system for my home stereo and they sound bloody great! i'd rate them with my fathers kef concerto speakers, not the new concerto's but the old original one's which are still a highly respected speaker.

but back to subject.
i'd advise against cutting holes to suit subs in a parcel tray in any thing other than a hatchback.
it a fairly large piece of structural steel you are cutting holes in, and unless you are going to reinforce once you cut it, you are just weakening the car.
i run 2 jbl gt 10s in a sealed box and have room for my golf bag and trundler and still have room for a couple sports bags.
i dont see the point of running bigger subs than that even for so called "competition" if you can call db drag racing that

I'd love to see 145s and how did you get 18s in there with trunk space still? I am doing 145s with 2 10s with 2000 watts but not really much trunk space left. I'd love to learn how to hide 18s.
they were hidden in plain sight. From the inside of the car u couldn't see anything...but go into the trunk you saw to 18" woofers suspended from my rear deck. There was no enclosure...its just that when the trunk was closed it made a box...and since the subs play @ 31hz free-air and the stroker has 96db for sensitivity...you can only imagine...tell me how to post pics I'm show you my old build and me new in my CD7;its going to be the same thing and with amps now and a smaller car should be even louder if they haven't recalibrated the term pro meter. this was 3 yrs ago...now they are currently in my dc4 integra or my bassrace mobile....lol...i wanted to get in the 130-139 class but no one in greenville nc has a termpro meter to test on...oh well...ill show u soon...yal stay blessed. Christ Up!

I know that it would have to reinforced for strength and so u dont have the rattling. but the whole point of the the setup to be difference and have a clean looking trunk instead of the traditional bass box

I got you now. But yeah, I am about to encase my whole trunk in an MDF box so that air flow can only travel into the cabin. I'm aiming near a 150 with a single 12" sub. What car audio forums are you on?
