Does anyone use Honda wiper blades?
For the life on my Accord I've been using aftermarket branded wipers at places like pepboys (for convenience). For me, they don't last much longer than 3-months (northern California weather). The OEM wiper blades (not the inserts) from Honda are more expensive. Just wondering if anyone has found the OEM wiper blades from Honda to be superior in performance or longevity.

I use Honda Wipers and replace the Honda Blade Inserts every 3-4 years. I stopped using aftermarket stuff when I got my first Accord (1986 LX), but used the aftermarket on my 1987 Honda CRX DX and found everything I bought to be junky.

I use the Bosch wipers because they are the cheapest ones that don't seem to have a metal backing to the rubber insert. The audi dealer replaced my wipers once with cheapie inserts and it scratched a groove in my windshield. Luckily (or not), I ended up getting a crack in my windshield a few weeks later from a flying rock so I didn't have to live with the scratched windshield for very much longer.
Ever since then, I've used the Bosch wipers for both the Audi and my Honda/Acuras. For me, they last about a year and I replace them right before every rainy season (Fall). I live in SF so I assume the weather I experience matches yours. -g |

the life of a wiper depends on how well it can stand up to vulcanization (dried up, hard and cracking). i know when i lived in houston, we had a lot of ozone warning days, well, actually here in austin that's starting to increase as well. ozone (3 oxygen atoms bonded) increases vulcanization, so i normally replace my wipers at the beginning and at the end of the summer. twice a year i get a pair of bosch, and every couple days i would use the windshield washer fluid to "keep them moist." but we've also got really high heat on top of high ozone levels here to help hasten the process (you can see small cracks on the sidewall of tires that aren't dressed regularly too)
